Avram Grant has denied Rafa Benitez's claims that Chelsea were the sole beneficiaries of luck during his side's 1-1 draw at Anfield a week ago. John Arne Riise's last minute own goal has turned the tie in the London club's favour ahead of tonight's second leg at Stamford Bridge.
Grant said: "You can say what you want but the score is 1-1. We can also look at the penalty we never had and the red card for Carragher which would have stopped him playing in the second leg.
"Babel was offside for their goal and he disturbed Makelele, but their was no call for offside. We were always in the game - we started very well and deserved a goal.
"I'm glad we had an important game on Saturday. We didn't get the chance to rest players and but that won't disturb us.
"On Saturday we wanted to show we can play like champions and we want to do that in the Champions League now that we are one game away from the final."
