Drogba closing in on Euro record

Didier Drogba will become Chelsea's all-time top European scorer if he nets against Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final second leg. The Ivorian is currently level on 16 European goals with Peter Osgood, whilst Frank Lampard is one behind with 15.Drogba has scored 16 Champions League goals in 37 appearances in the competition for Chelsea since joining in 2004. His first European goals for the club came when he scored twice in a 3-0 win at Paris St-Germain in the group stages in September 2004.

He has scored four Champions League goals for Chelsea this season - his last when he scored twice in the 4-0 win at Rosenborg in November - but he has not scored in any of the five previous semi-final meetings with Liverpool.
