Up close & personal with Barcelona and Manchester United

When you watch a man ping balls at the crossbar with such consummate ease - even though he's doing so from the halfway line - you know you are in the presence of genius.
On Friday afternoon I was privileged to spend the afternoon watching Barcelona and Manchester United training at Wembley ahead of the Champions League final. While there were 50 or so players going through their paces, only one strut his stuff with the genuine enthusiasm of a child - Lionel Messi.
The 23-year-old reigning World Player of the Year is something special and observing him at such close quarters was a real treat. See below for a few snaps from the afternoon and a special thanks to Heineken for the invitation.
