Second Place For Alex Dowsett In Tour De Romandie Opener

British Time Trial Champion Alex Dowsett of Movistar finished second in the prologue for the Tour De Romandie.

The opening stage which included a field with such luminaries as Chris Froome, was a 4.8km time trial in Aigle.


Fabien Doubay of Wanty Group was first down the ramp and he finished with a time of 6.30.

Froome finished in 6.26 but he did not trouble the leader board where Fabino Felline of Trek Segafredo came home in 5. 57.

British Champion Alex Dowsett, was the last man down the ramp and rode brilliantly in wet condition but finished in 5.59.47 to finish second as Felline took the win.
