Samuel Dumoulin of AG2R has won the 2015 La Drome Classic in France.
This 1.1 race over 200.5kms and the second in the Ardeche region in two days saw Domont, Lindeman, Summerhill and Tarride form the break.
They were 5.40 clear after 45.6kms which went down to four minutes and then 3.08 with eighty eight kilometres left after Eduardo Sepulveda, winner of yesterday's Classic Sud Ardèche Souvenir Francis-Delpech and Peraud abandoned and British rider Adam Yates of Orica GreenEdge was dropped.
Grégoire Tarride decided that his time on the front was over and he left the other to it with a lead 1.15 and fifty four kilometres left to race.
With fifty kilometres left, only Domont and Lindeman were still away with a lead of fifty seconds.
Domont dropped back and Ben Gastauer of AG2R,Pacher (ADT) and Chetout of Cofidis came up to join the LottoNL rider, who soon dropped back.
That break was caught and Riccardo Zoldi tried his luck, only to be chased by Bauke Mollema and Romain Bardet.
With that trio brought back, Peter Stetina led on la Côte d'Allex before Cyril Gautier made his move and went away with nine kilometres.
The Frenchman was joined by Mollema, Stetina, Guyot and Felline but they were caught and under the flam rouge, Samuel Dumoulin had made his move and won the race ahead of Fabio Felline and Sebastien Delfosse, Gautier, Stetina, Molard, Guyot, Mollema, Hivert and Brambilla.
