56 Riders Fined During Tour Of The Alps Stage Three

The UCI have fined a total of fifty-six riders during the third stage of the Tour Of The Alps.

Team Sky's Peter Kennaugh was amongst the fifty-six riders who received a fine of 100 Swiss francs for not displaying their race numbers.

With temperatures being around one degree, many riders wore jackets for the stage won by Team Sky's Geraint Thomas and the UCI citing
article 12.1.040.5 that stipulates that a rider must show their race number or frame number, have issued the fines worth a total of £4,388,  which will come out of the competing team's prize money.
