Former Team Sky rider Jonathan Tiernan-Locke has been given a 41 month ban for drink driving.

The former Team Sky and Great Britain rider was arrested after being found to have 165mg of alcohol in his blood, (more than twice the legal limit), when he was stopped whilst driving his Ford Ranger on the A390 road in Cornwall, according to Cornwall Live.

As well as the ban which was his second, 32 year old Tiernan-Locke, who was dismissed by Team Sky due to biological anomalies in 2014 and stripped of his Tour Of Britain win, was also fined and had to pay costs of £315.
