The West Indies won the toss and decided to bat in the third and final Test against South Africa at Newlands on Friday.

Both teams made one change following the rain-affected second Test in Port Elizabeth.

Off-spinner Simon Harmer, 25, won his first Test cap for South Africa in place of leg-spinner Imran Tahir, while batsman Jermain Blackwood replaced left-arm seamer Kenroy Peters in the West Indies line-up.

The pitch was hard with a good covering of grass and the weather was sunny

South Africa lead the series 1-0.
