Play resumes in Pakistan-South Africa match

Play rsumed after a 30-minute rain break in the World Cup Pool B match between Pakistan and South Africa at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday.

The players were forced off after 37 overs with heavy rain falling with Pakistan at 175-5 after they were put into bat by South Africa.

Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq was unbeaten on 40 while Shahid Afridi had yet to get off the mark.

Umpires Richard Kettleborough of England and Bruce Oxenford of Australia inspected the ground before deciding that Pakistan's innings will not be shortened but the dinner break was reduced to 30 minutes.
