Northamptonshire star Ben Duckett is in contention to be the first person to win Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year at the Professional Cricketers' Association Awards.

A destructive top-order batsman, 21-year-old Duckett has amassed 2,706 runs across all formats this summer, helping Northants win the NatWest T20 Blast and earning his first senior England call-up for the tour of Bangladesh.

For Players' Player of the Year Duckett is up against Durham batsman Keaton Jennings, Essex all-rounder Graham Napier and Warwickshire's Royal London One-Day Cup-winning spinner Jeetan Patel.

Duckett's fellow first-time England tourist Haseeb Hameed, the Lancashire opening batsman, is among the contenders for the Young Player of the Year award alongside Kent batsman Daniel Bell-Drummond and Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran.

Three England players - batters Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield plus all-rounder Natalie Sciver - are the trio nominated for Women's Player of the Summer award.

The 47th PCA Awards will be held at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Wednesday.
