Mushfiqur Rahim admitted Bangladesh "are still hurting" from their agonising defeat to England in the first Test but knows they cannot dwell too much on what happened as they bid to square the series in Dhaka.
At the start of a nerve-shredding final morning in Chittagong, the Tigers needed 33 runs while England required two wickets and it was the tourists who came out on top thanks to Ben Stokes removing Taijul Islam and Shafiul Islam in the space of three balls.
Bangladesh did themselves no disgrace in their first Test in nearly 15 months as they played their part in an engrossing contest, but they must now shake off the close loss at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur said: "We are still hurting from the loss in Chittagong so it is best to move on from that game.
"We know that had we given one per cent more, the Test would have been in our favour. We were on the back foot playing our first Test after 15 months. We weren't the favorites but the boys did well. I have always wanted our team to be consistent in Tests.
"We would like to take the positive from that game and use them in Dhaka."
The pitch in Chittagong offered dramatic turn from the first session and Mushfiqur's opposite number Alastair Cook believes the surface will offer similar help to the spinners in Dhaka.
But Mushfiqur said: "The Dhaka Test will be played on a different soil altogether. We don't know how it will behave but I just want our spinners to take advantage from the wicket and for the batsmen to be more responsible."
Bangladesh will make at least one change to their line-up after omitting paceman Shafiul from the squad and the suspicion is they will opt to play another spinner, with Shuvagata Hom touted for a recall.
