Kolkata to stage Twenty20 final

Next year's ICC World Twenty20 final will be held at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced eight venues for the tournament, which will run from March 11 to April 3.

Kolkata will host the final and other fixtures in the three-week event, for the world's best teams in men's and women's short-format cricket.

Matches will also be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Dharamshala, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur and Delhi.

BCCI h onorary secretary Anurag Thakur said: "I am confident that all the venues nominated will deliver a world-class event."

All full member nations of the ICC are automatically entered, with Scotland and Ireland having joined the line-up by coming through qualifying.
