James Vince picked for England Twenty20 debut

James Vince was picked to make his international Twenty20 debut as England opted for an inexperienced line-up for the series-opener against Pakistan in Dubai.

Joe Root and Jos Buttler, who fired a record-breaking 46-ball century at the end of the one-day series, were both rested as England retained the same XI that beat a United Arab Emirates XI by 74 runs in a warm-up match on Monday.

That meant Sam Billings, Stephen Parry, Chris Jordan and Liam Plunkett were all playing their first competitive match of the tour alongside Vince. England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat.
