India beat England by 95 runs to win the second Test at Lord's on Monday and so take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Victory gave India their first away win in 16 Tests, a run stretching back to June 2011, and was just their second victory in 17 Tests at Lord's following their five-wicket success in 1986.

England, set 319 to win, were bowled out for 223.

They lost six wickets for 50 runs either side of lunch as India paceman Ishant Sharma took a Test-best seven for 74.

Sharma's return included a dramatic spell after lunch of four for nine in 21 balls.

The match ended just 67 minutes into the second session when England last man James Anderson was run out by Ravindra Jadeja.

Both players face a possible International Cricket Council ban following their alleged confrontation in the drawn first Test at Trent Bridge.
