Worcestershire have tied down another of their highly-rated prospects after announcing Charlie Morris has signed a new three-year deal.

The 23-year-old, who took 44 wickets as the Pears finished bottom of Division One in the LV= County Championship, had two years to run on his existing deal but will now remain with Worcestershire until the end of the 2018 season.

After joining fellow youngsters Joe Clarke, Ed Barnard, Joe Leach, Tom Fell, Brett D'Oliveira and Tom Kohler-Cadmore in committing to the club, Morris is optimistic of a bright future at New Road.

He said: "The club is going in the right direction and it's great to sign for another three years. There are a lot of promising players coming through and, although it's disappointing that we've been relegated, there are many positives to take from the 2015 season."
