Day two of Mirpur Test washed out

31 July 2015 09:16

Heavy rain from tropical storm Komen has washed out the entire second day of the second Test between Bangladesh and South Africa in Mirpur.

Bangladesh were poised to resume on 246 for eight on Friday, but will now be forced to do that a day behind schedule.

There are no plans to make up for lost time on day three, with the match resuming to normal timings if weather permits.

The first Test ended in a draw after the final two days were also lost to rain.

Dale Steyn became just the second South African bowler to reach 400 Test wickets on day one of the second Test.
