Afghanistan's Mirwais in World Cup double strike

Afghanistan seamer Mirwais Ashraf took his country's first two World Cup wickets on Wednesday as they rocked Asian rivals Bangladesh in their debut match at the tournament.

Mirwais tempted star opening batsman Tamim Iqbal into edging the ball to wicketkeeper Afsar Zazai who took a flying, one-handed catch off the third ball of the 15th over at Canberra's Manuka Oval.

Tamim made 19 off 42 balls.

And 47 for one soon became 52 for two when, in his next over, Mirwais had Anamul Haque lbw for a 29 that took the batsman 55 balls.

Anamul reviewed Steve Davis's decision but replays confirmed the Australian umpire had been right to give him out after the ball struck him on the back leg.
