Tyson Fury - what he said

Tyson Fury has returned home after stunning the world of boxing with a magnificent victory over long-reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on Saturday.

Here are the best bits of what he has had to say since his big moment in Dusseldorf.

On becoming world heavyweight champion

"I was very anxious waiting for the decision. After being deducted a point (for fouling) I knew it would make it closer and you never can tell, so I was very, very happy when I got the result. It's a great honour to be sat here with all these belts as the heavyweight champion of the world. It has not come easily."

On Wladimir Klitschko

"He's been a great champion for many years. If I can achieve half of what he has, and reign as champion for half as long as him, then I'll be a very happy man.

On trash-talking

"It was all fun and games in the build-up. I just wanted to be confident, young and brash."

On celebrating his win

"I'm not interested in buying nice stuff any more. I don't drink any more, I don't go out any more, I don't buy lavish things any more. What can a man do? I can eat meals, go out and enjoy what I achieved. But I'm not thinking about that right now."

On a rematch with Klitschko

"It doesn't really matter to me where I fight. Japan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, America - wherever it has to be, it has to be. I'd like to come back to Germany again to fight Wlad."

On a blockbuster clash with David Haye

"Let me put it this way: I would rather make a voluntary defence, for all those titles, against Hughie Fury, than David Haye. That's saying something, isn't it? Because Hughie is my first cousin. But I'd rather give Hughie a shot than David Haye. How's that?"

On a unification bout with WBC champion Deontay Wilder

"Why do we need to mention Deontay Wilder? Let's laugh at his name, shall we? Wladimir Klitschko was the number one in the division. Probably the pound-for-pound king, whatever that means. So why would I be bothered about a novice like Wilder? He's a basketball player who took up boxing a couple of years ago. I'm a true natural fighter."

On his personality

"I say it as it is. I don't hold back. I'm what you'd call a realist. People don't like the truth because the truth hurts. If it's water it's water and if it's wine it's wine. There's no grey - it's black or white."

On being misunderstood

"I don't care. It's not for every to understand me - it's for me to understand myself and for God to understand me. As long as I'm impressing him upstairs, I don't care about anybody in this room, what they think of me. All I'm interested in doing is impressing the big fella upstairs."
