George Groves is determined to get his career back on track when he faces Italian Andrea Di Luisa in a super-middleweight bout at the Copper Box in London on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has teamed up with new trainer Shane McGuigan since his loss last time out to WBC champion Badou Jack, and believes he still has what it takes at the top level.

Groves told Sky Sports: " Hopefully they (the fans) will see improvements. I've only been working with Shane for a couple of months but we're on the comeback trail.

"I think they'll see an explosive performance. Nice and sharp and hitting hard. That's what I've been doing in the gym."

The 33-year-old Di Luisa boasts a similar record to Groves of 18 wins and three defeats but he has been found out when he has previously stepped up in class.

Di Luisa was stopped in four rounds by Lucien Bute in Canada in May last year but subsequently bounced back with a routine win over Hungarian Gabor Zsalek.
